A domicile (residence) certificate proves you are a permanent resident of a particular state. You'll need it for state-quota college seats, state government jobs, scholarships and other state benefits. Documents you'll usually need

  • Proof of continuous residence in the state (as per your state's rule)
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar / voter ID)
  • Address proof
  • Ration card or school records (in some states)
  • Self-declaration / affidavit where required
