How to Apply for a New Ration Card Online in India

  • Identity proof of the head of family (Aadhaar)
  • Address proof
  • Passport-size photograph of the head of family
  • Aadhaar of all family members
  • Income proof (for category, where required)

How to apply

  1. Find your state's Food & Civil Supplies / PDS portal (the NFSA site links to state portals).
  2. Register and select 'New Ration Card'.
  3. Fill in family and address details.
  4. Upload identity, address and member documents.
  5. Submit for verification and track the status; download or collect once approved.
