- Your vehicle registration (RC) number, or the challan number, or your driving licence number.
- Your mobile number for OTP verification.

Step-by-step: check your challan
- Visit the official eChallan portal (echallan.parivahan.gov.in).
- Choose 'Check Challan Status'.
- Enter your vehicle / challan / DL number and verify with OTP.
- Review the list of pending challans and their details.
Paying your challan
Select the pending challan and pay online through the portal's payment options. Save the digital receipt as proof of payment. Many states also let you pay via their traffic police portal.
Don't ignore pending challans
