If your name is misspelled, your photo is unclear, your date of birth is wrong, or you've moved to a new address, you correct it using Form 8 on the Election Commission's Voter Services Portal — the same form covers most corrections to an existing voter entry, including shifting your registration to a new constituency after moving. This doesn't change your EPIC number; it updates the details tied to your existing entry.

Go to the Voter Services Portal (voters.eci.gov.in) and sign in with your mobile number and OTP.
Select Form 8 — 'Correction of Entries in Electoral Roll'.
Enter your EPIC number and choose which field needs correcting (name, DOB, gender, photo, or address).
Upload the supporting document for that specific correction.
Submit and note the reference number to track your request.
If you've moved to a different constituency (not just a new address in the same one), the portal routes this as a constituency transfer, which the Booth Level Officer (BLO) may need to physically verify.
Official fees
Free — filing Form 8 has no fee.
