e-Aadhaar is the official password-protected PDF version of your Aadhaar card, downloadable anytime from the UIDAI website. It carries the same legal validity as the physical card and is accepted almost everywhere a printed Aadhaar is accepted, so it's a quick option if you've misplaced your card or just need a copy for an application.

Go to the official UIDAI website (uidai.gov.in) and open the 'Download Aadhaar' service.
Choose to enter your Aadhaar number, Enrolment ID, or Virtual ID.
Enter the captcha and request an OTP on your registered mobile number.
Enter the OTP to verify and proceed to download.
Open the downloaded PDF using your Aadhaar password (usually the first 4 letters of your name in capitals + year of birth).
Save or print the file — it's valid for official use just like the physical card.

By default it's the first four letters of your name (in capitals, as printed on Aadhaar) followed by your year of birth, e.g. RAHU1990. UIDAI states this clearly on the download page.
