A ration card lets eligible households buy subsidised food grains under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and also serves as identity/address proof. Ration cards are issued by your State's Food & Civil Supplies Department; apply, add/remove members, or make corrections through your state's ration/PDS portal.

State Food & Civil Supplies Departments

You can view and pay your electricity bill online through your State Electricity Board / DISCOM website or via the Bharat BillPay (BBPS) system available across many apps and banks. Enter your consumer/account number to fetch and pay the current bill.

You can view and pay your water bill online through your municipal corporation's or state water board's own portal, or via the Bharat BillPay (BBPS) system — the RBI/NPCI-backed bill payment network that most banking apps and UPI apps use, which lists 'Water' as one of its standard biller categories. Enter your consumer/connection number to fetch and pay the current bill.

Municipal / State Water Boards

Property tax is levied and collected by your local municipal corporation, not the central government, so each city runs its own property tax portal — but a growing number of municipal corporations have also onboarded to Bharat BillPay (BBPS), letting you pay through the same banking or UPI app you'd use for other utility bills. For a city not yet on BBPS, the municipal corporation's own official website remains the correct place to pay.

Municipal Corporations

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) provides free LPG gas connections to women from below-poverty-line (BPL) and other specified eligible households, replacing polluting cooking fuels like firewood and kerosene with clean cooking gas. Eligible beneficiaries get a new LPG connection with the security deposit waived, and can apply through any participating LPG distributor.
